Modular Design helps the level designer to separate certain aspects of the land. Such as a house, roof, walls, floors, windows, etc are all separated from one group. These help with the designers for being used again and again, without create another mesh, it is less time consuming and is more effective.
Each assignment is the same I learned about combing each part to make one thing/building.
Unit 2 - Production Management
Video Games are created by teams as each person is working on a specific part of the game, such as programming, artists, storyboard, etc. My role on the team is both the leader and also the programmer of the group. I make sure the group is on tasked on doing their work. Meanwhile I was also the programmer so I look online what I need to do for a specific part of the game, such as interactive, collectables, doors open etc.
Unit 3 - Pre-production
Pre-Production helps the team look over what can be worked on and cannot be worked on. It also is where the group gather ideas for the game, to see if the player base will enjoy it or not.
Planning out the user experience plus the choices and convexity is hard to do as planning out what the player can do and what the outcome can lead about is numerous.
We, as a team, discussed what are the best possible paths when it comes to the choices and then the outcomes.
As a team we wanted to see what our game can have to make it interesting and also help the player in the game.
Unit 4 - Production Techniques
Working in Unreal engine is nice as it is easier program for me with the blueprints. it's good to have worked with Unreal engine most time as we gain more knowledge with where most of the stuff are. Along with that, Unreal helps you by giving any errors and where and what is needed for it to work.
I didn't create the environment that goes to Gabbi, but she did really good with the environment as it is what we wanted if our game was polished.
I am the programmer of our group, so when looking over the house at the time, I began to look at the coding we need, such as the doors, and what we need to make it as a collectable goal game.
Programming via blueprints is more easy then coding by hand.
